SRI. K. MUNUSWAMY NAIDU, was basically an agriculturist and had a passion for it. Born in 1903, Reddiar as he was popularly known was a simple man known for his hospitality, and generous nature. He was affable with all communities and they in turn showered a lot of love and respect on him. When urbanisation started spreading to this region, the agricultural lands owned by him were converted to housing layouts in the name of M.R. Nagar and Sasi Rekhamma Nagar. As he was very keen to see a harmony and proper environment for families getting settled in this housing layout, he put in lot of efforts to ensure that the plots went to the right people by scrutinising the profiles of the purchaser. He was the first President of M.R. Nagar welfare association. He is still remembered for the probity and fidelity shown towards the development of the area where he lived and loved. His noble soul departed on 22-03-1981 leaving behind a good community and like-minded people at M.R. Nagar which we treasure to this day.
SRI. M. JANARDHANAM, son of Sri. K. Munuswamy Naidu was born on 30-03-1933. He was the first graduate among Ceelam family, and served the Tamil Nadu Government as a Gazetted officer in Revenue Department and gained popularity for his honesty and integrity. He is known for helping many poor households to obtain proper land records facilitating their empowerment to progress further in their lives and to consolidate their position in the society. He led a simple life style and always had a desire to help others. He was instrumental in developing M.R. Nagar by ensuring good civic amenities, commercial establishments and Banks were established, which brought an identity to M.R. Nagar and making it a popular landmark in the neighbourhood. He commanded respect for his truthfulness and commitment to honour any word given by him to any resident or trader. This noble soul left the mortal body on 26-08-2007. CEELAM HALL was inaugurated on 03-02-2019 to cherish the legacy, and now CEELAM GRAND is established by his son J. Venkata Prasad who carries the mantle of his Dad and Grandfather and to commemorate them.
